What is the meaning of OS Platform?

OS Platform in a TV refers to the operating system that runs the smart TV. It’s the software that manages apps, streaming services, settings, and the user interface.

Provides a user interface for navigation. Allows installation and use of apps (Netflix, YouTube, etc.). Handles connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI, casting). Common TV OS Platforms are: Android TV / Google TV: Supports Google Play Store apps, Chromecast, Google Assistant. Tizen: Samsung’s smart TV OS, has its own app store. webOS: LG smart TVs, supports app store and voice commands. Roku TV OS: Simple interface, supports Roku channels. Fire TV Edition: Amazon Fire OS integrated into TV, Alexa support.
